About Paul

Paul Abberley was Chief Executive Officer of Charles Stanley from December 2014 to April 2025. A graduate of Keble College, Oxford, Paul joined Charles Stanley as Chief Investment Officer-designate in June 2014, and continued as CEO through the firm's merger with Raymond James in 2021, serving latterly as Chief Executive Officer of Raymond James Wealth Management and Charles Stanley.

Prior to this appointment, Paul was interim Chief Executive Officer of Aviva Investors Holdings Ltd and Aviva Investors Global Services Ltd, and a member of the Aviva Group Executive Committee, leading a series of strategic realignments at Aviva Investors, where he'd worked since 2008.

Before Aviva Investors, Paul spent eight years at ABN AMRO Asset Management as Chief Investment Officer for the company's Fixed Income and Investment Solutions Division, and as Chairman of the company's London Board and a member of the Global Executive Management Team.
