Billions of pension savings are planned to be invested into innovative startups for the first time by VCs firms like Future Planet Capital. UK pension savers deserve to know more about our industry and how we do business! Over the next 10 weeks, we’ll be sharing ⚡ one-minute videos ⚡ from different members of our team on our LinkedIn page - covering investments, portfolio management, investor relations, and more to do just that. Each person will answer a key question, in around 60 seconds, so you start your week knowing more about venture than you did one minute ago, and get a sense of where your pension savings might just end up. We’re kicking off with Oliver Sexton, who leads our Life Science mandate on the key question he always asks founders... Click on the video above to watch and learn more!   We’re delighted to introduce Dr Peter Mitchell, who leads on Data Science and Technology at Future Planet Capital. With a passion for innovation and impact, Peter has built DataLace - our proprietary data system that analyses over a million data points to identify companies most likely to develop profitable solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. Peter’s background is rooted in academia. Before joining Future Planet, he taught coding and statistics to doctoral students and researchers at the University of Oxford, and worked on large-scale statistical research for organisations including the UK Cabinet Office, OECD, and Department for Education. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford, funded by All Souls College, The University of Oxford and a master’s from Harvard University. We’re proud to have Peter driving our data-driven approach to global impact investing.   Future Planet Capital are proud to once again receive the University of Oxford Internship Gold Standard Host Award 2025.
